Paul E. Elliot Jr., 59 of Whitewater died Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 14, 1952 in Senath, Mo., son of Paul and Julie Jean Wommack Elliott, Sr.
He and Kathy Pyrtle were married Aug. 30, 2010 at Jackson, Mo.
He was a 1970 graduate of Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau and was an engineer for Burlington Northern Railroad for 20 years. He was also an avid fisherman and a loving grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Elliot of Whitewater; his father, Paul Elliot Sr. of Cape Girardeau; a son, Jeffrey Shane Elliott and wife, Rhonda of Burfordville; two daughters, Tiffany Jean Vandeven and husband, Jacob of Whitewater and Ashley Megan Dooley and husband, Jonathan of Evansville, Ind.; stepdaughter, Kristy Pyrtle of Jackson; brother, Danny Ray Elliott and wife Nancy of Marble Hill, Mo;, and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
