MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Paul Dennis Hooppaw, 49, of Dodge Center, Minn., died Friday, Dec. 17, 1993 in the Owatonna Hospital in Owatonna, Minn.
He was born in Cairo, Ill. Sept. 9, 1944, son of the late Leo Hooppaw and Maudie Hoode Hooppaw. His mother and stepfather, Maudie and Everett Schuler survive of Mound City, Ill.
He was a member of the Lions Club, American Legion, the Economic Development Corporation, the Community Education Advisory Board, and the Centerfest Committee all in Dodge City.
He was also a deacon and Sunday School teacher at the Congregational Church in Dodge Center. He was also a Vietnam veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Benita Hooppaw, Dodge Center; a daughter, DeAnna Hooppaw, Dodge Center; a brother, Larry Hooppaw, Maryville, Mo.; and a stepsister, Roberta Schaefer, Owensboro, Ky.
Friends may call at the Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City Wednesday from 9-11 a.m.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Larry L. Potts officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale, Ill.
