DEXTER -- Funeral for Paul Crump of Dexter will be held at 11 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter. The Rev. Wayne Dismuke and Fred Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
Crump, 87, died Monday, June 15, 1998, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 10, 1911, in Cardwell, son of Elmer and Cassie Glasscock Crump. He and Ruth Edna Gist were married June 4, 1932. She died Aug. 18, 1984.
Crump moved to the Sikeston area in 1942 from Cardwell, and then to Dexter in 1970. He was a retired restaurant owner and farmer. He was a member of an Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include a son, Gary Crump of Dexter; three daughters, Barbara Riddle of Cape Girardeau, Patsy Belvin and Brenda Fields of Dexter; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
