SIKESTON -- Paul Couch, 78, formerly of Sikeston, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Feb. 7, 1918, in Diehlstadt, the son of the late Robert S. and Stella B. Robertson Couch. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II and had worked as a manager of the LP Gas Division of Home Oil Company in Sikeston for 30 years...

SIKESTON -- Paul Couch, 78, formerly of Sikeston, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 7, 1918, in Diehlstadt, the son of the late Robert S. and Stella B. Robertson Couch. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II and had worked as a manager of the LP Gas Division of Home Oil Company in Sikeston for 30 years.

He married Edith L. Milburn on Oct. 31, 1937 in Sikeston, and she survives him.

He is also survived by two sons, Mike and Mark Couch, both of Sikeston; one daughter, Jan Urban, of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Ruth Biggerstaff, of Branson; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Nunnelee Chapel with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
