SCOTT CITY -- Paul Kenneth Chitty, 74, of Kerrville, Texas, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 1997, at the veterans hospital in Kerrville.
He was born Nov. 15, 1923, at Fornfelt, son of Walter Augustus and Emma Foster Chitty.
Chitty had been a clerk and fireman with the railroad, and also a self-employed realtor. He was a member of Masonic Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and American Legion. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Ken Chitty of Belleville, Ill., William Chitty of O'Fallon, Ill.; a daughter, Elizabeth Short of Lincoln, Ill.; two brothers, Carlos Chitty of Scott City, Bob Chitty of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Monday.
A Masonic service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the chapel, by H.O. Grauel Masonic Lodge 672 of Cape Girardeau.
