MARBLE HILL -- Paul C. Douglas, 76, of Marble Hill died Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at the Bond Nursing Home in Marble Hill.

He was born Oct. 15, 1921, at Hurricane, son of Charles and Emma Patton Douglas.

He was a retired log turner, an Army veteran of World War II, and he became a born-again Christian on Feb. 23, 1997.

He is survived by a brother, Gene Douglas of Allenville, and five sisters, Eula Besher and Ruby Brotherton of Patton, Delphia Brown of Marble Hill, Beulah Marx of St. Louis and Mildred Long of Sedgewickville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be after 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Elijah Allen and Steve Sander officiating. Burial and VFW Military Rites by Post 5900 will follow at the Hurricane Fork Cemetery near Marble Hill.
