DELTA -- Paul James Blue, 74, of Delta died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born Nov. 9, 1924, at Randles, son of Floyd D. and Bullah Beatrice Spain Blue. He and Verna M. Snider were married July 8, 1953. Blue had been a construction worker. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II...

DELTA -- Paul James Blue, 74, of Delta died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 9, 1924, at Randles, son of Floyd D. and Bullah Beatrice Spain Blue. He and Verna M. Snider were married July 8, 1953.

Blue had been a construction worker. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife of Advance; four sons, Paul Blue of Arbor, Larry and Jimmie Blue of Delta, Kenneth Blue of Chaffee; two daughters, Pam Keys of Bell City, and JoAnn Standridge of Morehouse.

Also surviving are two brothers, Floyd Blue of Chaffee, Jim Blue of Randles; three sisters, Loleta White of Chaffee, Juanita Joyce of Oran, Opal Vessells of Randles; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Watis Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Kenyon Cemetery at Delta.
