Paul Herbert "Butch" Blattel, 84, of Scott City died Thursday, March 25, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 11, 1920, in Ancell, Mo., son of William F. and Elizabeth Mary Seyer Blattel. He and Vernedia Alvina Raines were married Jan. 18, 1944, at Kelso, Mo.
Blattel owned and operated Raines-Blattel Dairy Farms. He was a member of VFW Post 6407.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, Leon Blattel of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Clara Stemle and Virginia Mehringer of Jasper, Ind., and Dorothy Miller of Scott City.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. James Seyer officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
