Paul Atchison

ROCKWOOD, Ill. -- Paul Robert Atchison, 64, passed away Monday, July 7, 2003, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born June 25, 1939, in Chester, Ill., son of Everett Gerald and Grace Steele Atchison.

Paul was a laborer, and veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include three sons, Mike (Denice) Atchison and Tim (Wendy) Atchison of Chester, Ty Atchison of St. Louis; four daughters, Carrie Atchison, Jeri Hooker, Marcy Atchison and Tara (Donny) Brant, all of Chester; his mother, Grace Atchison of Eminence, Mo.; a sister, Ila Mae (Glenn) Leible of Eminence; and 22 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Chapel in Chester.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Edwin Reuter officiating. Burial will be in Emery Cemetery at Rockwood.

Schroeder-McClure Funeral Chapel in Chester is in charge of arrangements.
