Patsy Joyce Welker, 88, of Marble Hill, Missouri, passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 7, 1930 in Gravel Hill, Missouri, daughter of the Late Rupert and Grace Seabaugh Leslie Sr. She and Loren Welker were united in marriage Nov. 15, 1947, and he passed away Sept. 1, 1996.
Patsy worked for the Blackriver Electric Co. as a clerk. She attended Hahn Chapel General Baptist Church and Burfordville Baptist Church. When she turned 12, she was saved at Gravel Hill Methodist Church.
Survivors include her children Melba (Jerry) Bailey and David (Sheryl) Welker, both of Jackson, and Dennis (Debbie) Welker of Marble Hill; daughter-in-law, Peggy Welker of Cape Girardeau; siblings, Shirley Peyton of Arnold, Missouri, Jack Leslie of Scopus, Missouri, Linda (Bill) Troutwein of O'Fallon, Missouri, Ron (Judy) Leslie of Leopold, Missouri, and Judy Johnson of Jackson; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a son, Danny Welker.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jack Leslie, Pastor Bryon Kindle and the Rev. Jerry Bailey officiating. Interment will take place in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to Hahn Chapel or the Burfordville Baptist Church. Because of health issues, the famiy requests no fresh-cut or blooming flowers.
