Sims, 65, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998, at her home.

She was born Dec. 2, 1932, at Matthews, daughter of Tollie and Lillie Warren.

Sims was an operator with Southwestern Bell and AT&T 30 years, retiring in 1988.

Survivors include three daughters, Jana Kuwik of Dayton, Ohio, Debbie Chappell of Sikeston, Neila Gilmer of Matthews; a son, William Sims III of Abilene, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
