Patsy J. Kimbrel, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at her home. She was born Feb. 14, 1933, in Cape Girardeau to Ted and Blanche Cargle Ravenstein. She and Earl Kimbrel were married Dec. 15, 1951, in Cape Girardeau. Patsy was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church, was involved in mission work in the Appalachian Mountains and was famous for her home-cooked meals. Patsy J. Kimbrel, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at her home.

She was born Feb. 14, 1933, in Cape Girardeau to Ted and Blanche Cargle Ravenstein. She and Earl Kimbrel were married Dec. 15, 1951, in Cape Girardeau.

Patsy was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church, was involved in mission work in the Appalachian Mountains and was famous for her home-cooked meals. Patsy also was active with the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include two daughters, Deburah J. Birk of Jackson and Karen K. Hann of Fruitland; a brother, Paul F. Ravenstein of Magnolia, Delaware; a sister, Pauline Littleton of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, Fred Brown Jr., Andy J. Birk, Nicole Hann Sullivan, Joey Hann and Jamie Hann; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Stan Hargis officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to Southeast Hospice, 10 Doctors' Park, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703; American Legion Post 63, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701; or Grace United Methodist Church, Broadway and Caruthers streets, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
