Patsy Carrol Sims Jenkins, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, returned home to the Lord on Monday, Aug. 3, 2015. She was 82 years old. Patsy was born May 3, 1933, in Advance, Missouri. She was the first of six children born to Nathan McKearly Sims and Dortha Elizabeth Johnson. Patsy was married to Earl Leon Jenkins for 63 years. Patsy Carrol Sims Jenkins, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, returned home to the Lord on Monday, Aug. 3, 2015. She was 82 years old.

Patsy was born May 3, 1933, in Advance, Missouri. She was the first of six children born to Nathan McKearly Sims and Dortha Elizabeth Johnson. Patsy was married to Earl Leon Jenkins for 63 years. Theirs is a true love story; they were completely devoted to one another and to their families.

She was a loving, kind, generous and patient mother, grandmother and aunt whose three children, six grandchildren and lots of nieces and nephews adored "Mama Patsy."

She is survived by her husband, Earl L. Jenkins of Chandler, Arizona; a daughter, Teresa Jenkins O'Brien; son-in-law, Patrick O'Brien; grandson Sean O'Brien of Chandler; granddaughter, Kerry O'Brien Reames and Ben Reames of Mexico City; grandson, ENS Casey O'Brien of Pensacola, Florida; daughter-in-law, Liane Leo Jenkins; grandsons Kyle Jenkins and Trace Jenkins of Itasca, Illinois; grandson Jason Jenkins and Meagan Cooper-Jenkins; three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Sidney and Parker Jenkins of St. Charles, Illinois; sister Sharon Sims Spane of Chandler; brother Jimmy Sims of Advance; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Patsy was preceded in death by her beloved sons Robert Earl Nathan and Christopher Lynn Jenkins; her mother and father; and her sisters Billie Sims Harris and Gaynell Sims Fowler.

A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Stoddard County Children's Home.
