Patsy Dietz

DESOTO, Ill. -- Patsy Ruth Dietz, 75, of DeSoto died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Ill.

She was born in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Thomas Edward and Dona Elizabeth Evans Wood. She and Kenneth L. Dietz were married March 13, 1982, in Carbondale. He died April 5, 2003.

Dietz was a nurse aide 30 years at Jackson County Nursing Home in Murphysboro, Ill. She then worked at Selmier Peerless.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Tegethoff of DeSoto; a brother, the Rev. Paul Wood of Marble Hill, Mo.; four sisters, Reva McClain and Norma Wood of Cape Girardeau, Doris Arnzen and Shirley Emmons of Paducah, Ky.; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Franklyn Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in Indian Hill Cemetery in DeSoto.
