Patsie Higgins

Patsie J. Higgins, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center. She was born Oct. 19, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Luther and Audrey Rhodes Welker. Higgins served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. She was a 1956 graduate of Central High School. She worked at Southeast Missouri Hospital many years and was a CNA at Missouri Veterans Home, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church...

Patsie J. Higgins, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 19, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Luther and Audrey Rhodes Welker.

Higgins served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps.

She was a 1956 graduate of Central High School. She worked at Southeast Missouri Hospital many years and was a CNA at Missouri Veterans Home, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Leslie Scirocco; a brother, Michael Welker; a sister, Bonnie Hahs, all of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time Friday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
