Patrick Wayne Foster, 71, of Oak Ridge died Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born to Harry and Luella Wilkening Foster. He and Susan Turpin were married July 3, 1988, at Old Appleton. He was an officer in the Navy and later in life sold (legal) drugs, liquor and lottery. Patrick Wayne Foster, 71, of Oak Ridge died Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born to Harry and Luella Wilkening Foster. He and Susan Turpin were married July 3, 1988, at Old Appleton.

He was an officer in the Navy and later in life sold (legal) drugs, liquor and lottery. He relished living on the family farm and spending time with his grandchildren and goldens.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Foster of Oak Ridge; daughter, Amy Beth Hancock of Jackson; three sisters, Betsy (John) Rigdon of Cape Girardeau, Chris (Herb Burnett) York of St. Louis and Maggie (Steve) Buhs of Cape Girardeau; many nieces, nephews and his Pike brothers. Papa will also be especially missed by his two grandchildren, Henry and Clara Hancock.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents.

A private memorial service for family and friends will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion United Methodist Church in Old Appleton with Wavis Jordan and the Rev. Jim Dace officiating.

A joyful celebration will be from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Foster Farm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Perry County Senior Center, 4 N. Spring St., Perryville, MO 63775 or Zion United Methodist Church, 151 Old Zion Church Road, Old Appleton MO 63770.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
