Patricia "Trish" Kogge, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born July 26, 1934, in Chicago to Joseph A. and Ruth A. Williams Sullivan. She and Richard "Rich" Kogge were married Oct. 19, 1957, at St. Michael Church in Wheaton, Illinois. He survives.

In 1980, Trish received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southeast Missouri State University. She furthered her education by earning a Masters in Psychological Counseling from Southeast.

She worked as an academic counselor at Southeast and later became the registrar at Southeast Missouri State University. She retired in 1998.

She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, was active in Girl Scouts for many years and received the Thanks Badge for all her efforts.

Trish was generous in countless ways with her family, with her professional colleagues, but most of all with her grandchildren in her favorite role as Nana. Her gift of love was constant.

Survivors include her husband, Rich Kogge of Cape Girardeau; one son, Dennis (Noriko) Kogge of Seattle; three daughters, Mary (Scott) Richards and Dianne (Paul) Roth of Cape Girardeau and Eileen (Tony) Spratt of Eureka, Missouri; one brother, Jerry (deceased, Ceil) Sullivan of Sterling, Virginia; one sister, Mary Kay Sullivan of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren, Nathan, Justin and Francis Kogge, Kate (Jared) Reeves, Megan (Mark) Frazier, Tricia (Lee) Hodges, Jacquelyn Roth, Ryan (Tabitha) Spratt and Kyle and Shannon Spratt; and eight great-grandchildren, Josh, Luke and Andrew Reeves, Haddie and Amelia Frazier, Abigail Moore, Delaina Beattie and Natalie Spratt.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, William Joseph Sullivan.

A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital or Missouri Veterans Home of Cape Girardeau.
