Patricia "Patsy" Pennington, 70, of Thebes, Illinois, passed peacefully Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021, surrounded by her husband, Dennis, and family at her home.
She was born Dec. 7, 1950, in Ste Genevieve, Missouri, to Albert J. Foeste and Mary A. Winch Foeste. She and Dennis Pennington Sr. were married Nov. 7, 1986, in Cape Girardeau. They shared a sweet and wonderful marriage for 35 years.
She was of the Christian faith. She loved to play bingo with her sisters, Linda and Charlotte. Patsy enjoyed cooking, making quilts and sewing. Christmas was her favorite holiday because she loved to give, especially to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She made Christmas so special for her family. She was very kind and beautiful inside and out. She was loved by all who knew her and had so many close friends
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Pennington Sr.; daughter, Sherry (Daniel) Claycamp of West Frankfort, Illinois.; son, Tommy (Julie) Worley of Farmington, Missouri; stepson, Dennis Pennington, Jr.; bonus daughter, Codi (Kyle) Wampler of Park Hills, Missouri; three brothers, Mike (Cindy) Foeste of East Cape, Illinois, Mark (Cindy) Foeste of McClure, Illinois, Bill (Jane) Foeste of Olive Branch, Illinois; two sisters, Linda Hall of Cape Girardeau and Charlotte (Clete) Winchester, Cape Girardeau County; 10 grandchildren, Sheena, Kasey, Thomas, Paige, Garrett, Sarah, Isaac, Ethan, Sawyer, Charlotte; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barbara Mendenhall.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home the Rev. Rick Parrish officiating. Burial will be at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.
Memorial contributions may be given to Ford and Sons to assist with funeral expenses.
