Patricia S. Moore went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the of age 70.
She resided at The Lutheran Home due to declining health.
She was born July 12, 1946, at Southeast Hospital, the first child to Robert and Valeria Carter Moore.
The family lived in Chaffee, Missouri, where Patricia was raised. She graduated from Chaffee High School in 1964.
She lived many places during her life, including Washington, D.C., where she worked for the Civil Service for the military. She also lived and worked in Indianapolis; Tucson, Arizona; and Paducah, Kentucky. She finally made her way back to the Chaffee and Cape Girardeau area. Patricia was a waitress for quite a while and finally retired.
She was divorced and raised two sons.
Survivors include two sons, Kelly Reid Church and Stephen Marcus McCormick, both of Cape Girardeau; twin sisters, Glenda Tankersley of Cape Girardeau and Brenda Hepler of Westland, Michigan; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Pat was a joy to be around. She never knew a stranger. Most important, she loved the Lord and loved going to church. She definitely will be missed.
A memorial visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of service at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Fountain of Life Tabernacle, 2484 Old Toll Road in Jackson. Pastor Ron Marler will officiate. Burial of ashes will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
