Patricia A. Huskey Matthews, 72, of High Ridge, Mo., fortified with the sacraments of holy mother church Wednesday, March 20, 2013. She was formerly of Cape Girardeau.
Beloved wife of Charlie D. Matthews; dear mother and mother-in-law of Don (Cheri) Rugraff Jr. and Carrie (John) DeBrock; loving grandmother of Jennifer (Kris) Klindworth, Amber (Mark) Forster, Austin Rugraff, Olivia Rugraff and Blake Rugraff; loving great-grandmother of Sophia, Grace and Emma; dear sister of Karen Rice, Marlene (Don) Brown and Homer (Cathy) Huskey; dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend; and her beloved puppy, Oscar.
Charlie says that his wife's love for animals and devotion to family exemplified her compassion for life. Jenny thanks her grandmother for all the sweet memories that will be cherished and held in her heart forever, and Amber expresses that, although their time together was shortened, she always will remember her grandmother and the memories they shared together. Carrie ("Sis") writes of her mother the following verse: "Deep in my heart you will always stay, loving memories of you which will never fade." Pat's entire family will miss her dearly.
