Patricia A. "Pat" Kight, 70, of Gordonville passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 11, 1943, in Wittenberg, Mo., to Leonard O. and Leona Riske Hoehne. She was a graduate of Perryville High School.
Pat and her first husband, Marvin Grebing, farmed near Altenburg, Mo. They had six children. She was later married 10 years to Hobert Kight. She and Richard Kester have been were nearly 15 years.
Pat worked five years in obstetrics at Southeast Hospital and 15 years at Procter & Gamble. She then owned and operated the former Pat's Flowers in Delta. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville and a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.
Pat was always a dedicated homemaker and caregiver. Her favorite pastime was designing flower arrangements of all kinds. She also crocheted blankets and donated them to St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Loving survivors include her best friend, Richard Kester of Gordonville; six children, Ralph M. Grebing of Wittenberg, Mo., Barbara J. Grebing (Lorn Allbritton) of Marble Hill, Mo., Harvey J. Grebing of Altenburg, Mo., Catherine L. (Mark) Haertling of New Wells, William (Sarah) Grebing of Wittenberg and Phillip Grebing (Renee Emmerson) of Altenburg; seven grandchildren, Dylan Grebing, Danielle Maucelli, Kyle and Courtney Haertling, Victor and Bethany Grebing and Phillip Grebing; two step-grandsons, Michael and Dereck Emmerson; and two siblings, Rita (Edward) Lichtenegger of Altenburg and Don Hoehne of Brazeau, Mo.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Destiny Grebing; and her parents.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to time of service Tuesday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating.
