MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Patricia Diana James, 59, of Marble Hill passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 7, 1953, in Lutesville, daughter of Greely Earl and Essie Mae Pulliam Long. She first married Melvin Luke Sitze on Aug. 8, 1970. He passed away Nov. 9, 1998. She then married Everett M. James on July 19, 2003. He passed away Feb. 2, 2009.
Patricia worked more than 32 years at Paramount and Henschel hat factories, and attended Liberty Congregational Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Theresa Shaffer, Tracey Simmons of Marble Hill, Heaven Sitze of Patton, Mo.; three brothers, Larry (Bud) Long of Marquand, Mo.; Jerry L. and Fred Long of Marble Hill; a sister, Pamela Darlene Jordan of Marble Hill; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Junior and Dennis Long; and a sister, Viola Howard.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Chris Jordan and Kirby Grindstaff officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery near Bessville, Mo.
