ADVANCE, Mo. -- Patricia Rae Haws, 83, of Advance passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Patricia was born March 28, 1931, at Jeffersonville, Indiana, the daughter of Pearly Lee and Josie Willie Smith O'Bryan. Patricia had been a member of the First Church of God in Dexter, Missouri. She had worked at Vintage Villa Nursing Home, the Dexter Hat Factory and volunteered at the Dexter Hospital...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Patricia Rae Haws, 83, of Advance passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Patricia was born March 28, 1931, at Jeffersonville, Indiana, the daughter of Pearly Lee and Josie Willie Smith O'Bryan.

Patricia had been a member of the First Church of God in Dexter, Missouri. She had worked at Vintage Villa Nursing Home, the Dexter Hat Factory and volunteered at the Dexter Hospital.

Patricia and William Woodard were united in marriage; he preceded her in death Feb. 3, 1980. From this union three children were born, Paul Wayne, Eva Louise and Charles Lee.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Wayne Woodard of Dexter and Charles Lee Woodard of Advance; a daughter, Eva Louise Smith of Dexter; a stepson, William Earl Woodard of Glenallen, Missouri; a brother, Paul O'Bryan of Seattle; four sisters, Hilda Wollum of Evansville, Bertha Johnson, Carol Vaughn and Jean Walker, all of Madisonville, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and five step-children from her second marriage, Susie, Rick, Julie, Patty and Ronni Haws.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandchild; two sisters, Helen Wood and Louise Ford; and a brother, Henry Thomas O'Bryan.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Gary Cooper officiating and the Rev. Leonard Madigan assisting. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery near Swinton, Missouri.
