Patricia Ann Essner, 69, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, June 8, 2015, at her home.
She was born Aug. 17, 1945, in Cape Girardeau to J.C. and Dorothy R. Koch Golightly.
Patricia was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Gospel Outreach and served on the church council for two years.
She worked at Pendergrass Inc. in Chaffee, Missouri, and then at Canedy Signs and Graphics in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda (Robert) Overbeck of Cape Girardeau; a son, Jesse (Charly) Essner of Jackson; a brother, Danold W. Golightly of Cary, North Carolina; a niece, Yvonne (Chad Wriggelsworth) Golightly of North Carolina; two grandchildren, Kayla J. Overbeck and Remley K. Essner; and a great-nephew, Grant Wriggelsworth of North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
