Patricia Joan Amrhein, 87, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Scott City, died Saturday, April 25, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center. Patricia Joan Amrhein, 87, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Scott City, died Saturday, April 25, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born June 4, 1932, in Cape Girardeau to George and Gertrude Pierce Schwartz. She married Jerome Francis "Jerry" Amrhein on Jan. 19, 1952. He preceded her in death Oct. 8, 2005.

She worked for Security Bank and Trust in Scott City, where she retired three different times. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Ladies Sodality, Council of Catholic Women and Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Columbus Council 6420.

She is survived by a son, Brad (Karen) Amrhein of Sherrills Ford, North Carolina; five daughters, Lisa (Jimmie) Gibbar and Terri (the late Joe) Prost of Cape Girardeau, Valerie (Bill) Carroll of Chaffee, Missouri, Tanya (Billy Jr.) Davis of Scott City and Camie (the late Jeff) Wulfers of Jackson; a brother, Mike Schwartz of Jackson; two sisters, Phyllis (Jerry) Seabaugh of Jackson and Marilyn Alderink of Keller, Texas; grandchildren, Pam Amrhein, Sarah (Mike) Squier, Geoffrey Jenkins, Ashley Jenkins, Grayson Jenkins, Jaime (Matt) Morton, Jared Gibbar, Heather (William) Goodman, John Carroll, Hannah (Shin) Tsumoto, Logan (Madeline) Davis, Louisea (Frank) Dietiker, Bethany (Paul) Fugate, Craig (Leah) Prost, Chuck (Michelle) Prost, Nina Prost, Emily (David) Kirn, Jeremy (Megan) Wulfers and Lindsey Wulfers; 32 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and all those who called her Grandma Pat.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Service will be private.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Chateau Girardeau Assisted Living staff, St. Joseph Catholic Church or Notre Dame High School Foundation Fund.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
