Pat J. Cameron, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, July 10, 2017, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center. She was born Sept. 16, 1937, in St. Louis to Louis and Lola Weatherford Cameron. Pat was an auditor for Beneficial Finance. She was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church, where she was active in many ministries, including the crochet gang. She also volunteered at the Saint Francis Medical Center Cancer Unit Infusion Center for 18 years...

Pat J. Cameron, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, July 10, 2017, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born Sept. 16, 1937, in St. Louis to Louis and Lola Weatherford Cameron.

Pat was an auditor for Beneficial Finance.

She was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church, where she was active in many ministries, including the crochet gang. She also volunteered at the Saint Francis Medical Center Cancer Unit Infusion Center for 18 years.

She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, loved to read and loved the St. Louis Cardinals.

Survivors include her sister, Diane Bright of Cape Girardeau; two nephews, Mark (Mary) Bright of Kingwood, Texas, and Scott (Kelly) Bright of Jackson; four great-nieces; two great-nephews; and two great-great-nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, James Bright; a great-niece; and a great-nephew.

Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to Saint Francis Medical Center Cancer Care Fund, 211 Saint Francis Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703.
