CAIRO, Ill. -- Parlie O'Neal, 100, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at Day Star Care Center.

She was born in Hamburg, Tenn., daughter of Lyter Kendrick and Lilly Woods. She first married George Williams. She later married Willie O'Neal.

O'Neal was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Mounds, Ill., and was a former member of the choir.

Survivors include seven daughters, Beatrice Swanks of Cairo, Georgia Dorsey, Luella Reese and Joyce Wade of Mounds, Remaner Fulton of Carterville, Ill., Brenda Mundell and Alice Brock of Columbus, Ohio; 39 grandchildren; 112 great-grandchildren; 41 great-great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five sons, a sister, a brother and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at St. John Missionary Church from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Garlin White officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Memorial Park in Mounds.
