COMMERCE, Mo. — Pamela Karen LeDure, daughter of the late Ira "Bud" Wright Jr. and Glenda Veragene-Burford of Commerce, was born July 29, 1947, in Cape Girardeau and passed away Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023, peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family.
To know her was to love her. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, a wonderful Mawmaw and faithful friend. She was a stay-at-home mother and stay-at-home Mawmaw for the majority of her life, which fulfilled her and gave her so much joy. She rarely missed practices, games, sporting events or school events when it came to her children and grandchildren.
Pamela was loyal to her church family, never missing a Sunday service. She loved so fiercely and will be missed by many. Her love was endless to all she encountered.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Roy LeDure; three children she loved so deeply, Neal LeDure, Lanna Kelley and Libby (Dwight) Buckner; her seven beautiful grandchildren she loved more than life, Lauren (A.H.) Marshall, Lacey (Justin) Fields, Kara Weiss-Davis, Morgan LeDure, Landon Urhahn, Mallory (Jacob) Fetters and Kelsey Buckner; and her six special great-grandchildren, Easton Davis, Abigail, Legend and Reece Marshall, Isabella Fields and Carsyn Fobbs.
Pamela was preceded in death by her father and mother, Bud and Glenda Wright Jr.; father- and mother-in-law, Leo Joseph and Mamie Alene LeDure; daughter-in-law, Dawn Marie LeDure; and son-in-law, Michael Van Urhahn.
A memorial service for family members and friends will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Commerce Baptist Church in Commerce.
