Pamela Suzanne Heuring of Kelso, Missouri, passed away at 72. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she cherished family time and gardening. Services will be held August 6-7, with details available online.

Pamela Suzanne Heuring of Kelso, daughter of Herbert and Virginia Diebold Essner, was born July 25, 1952, in Cape Girardeau and departed her life Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 72 years.

She graduated from Kelly High School in 1970 and was a member of St. Augustine Parish in Kelso, Missouri. She was a loving wife, mother and Nana to her grandchildren. She enjoyed being outside doing yard work with her flowers. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

On April 24, 1971, Pamela was united in marriage to Larry Charles Heuring. They were married for 53 years.

Besides her husband, survivors include a daughter, Suzy (Chad) Berkbuegler of Jackson; son, Eric Heuring of Jackson; daughter, Gina (Josh) Miller of Kelso; three grandchildren, Holden and Hadley Miller and Brooklyn Gosche; two stepgranddaughters, Kelsi and Shelbi Berkbuegler; four brothers, Jim (Hope) Essner of Kelso, Mike (Donna) Essner of Scott City, Tom (Linda) Essner of New Hamburg and Terry (Shelly) Essner of Jackson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jerry and Elaine Heuring of Kelso; sister-in-law, Lavern Heuring of Benton; sister-in-law, Lavada Schlegel of Murray, Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Pamela was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Essner; two brothers-in-law, Henry Heuring and Bill Schlegel; and a nephew, Kenny Schlegel.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, with the Rev. Tom Wilk officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
