With profound sadness, Pamela Jean "Pam" "Nanny" Amelung Farmer entered into rest Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at the family home in Cape Girardeau following a long-time battle with stage four pancreatic cancer.

Pam was the dear wife of Kevin Farmer of Cape Girardeau. The two were wed on July 22, 1972, and were faithfully devoted to one another for over 50 years.

She is the cherished mother of Brandon (Laura) Farmer of San Diego, California, and Adam (Amanda) Farmer of Jackson and proud grandmother or Nanny, as they called her, to six grandchildren, Evan, Hailey, Caleb, Madison, Chloe and Emery Farmer.

Pam is survived by her sister, Sandy (Amelung) Courtney of Bonne Terre, Missouri; brother, James Amelung of San Antonio, Texas; brother-in-law. Gary Farmer of St. Augustine, Florida; and sister-in-law, Donal Farmer (Dennis) Browning of Cape Girardeau and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, James and Maggie Kyle Amelung.

She was a true follower of Christ. Pamela attended Cape First Church for nearly two decades.

Pam was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She spent her days instilling Godly values and blessing. Her eternal impact on each and every person she served is immeasurable. She leaves behind a legacy of loyalty and love. Pamela will be dearly missed and forever ingrained in the hearts of those who knew her.

Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 28 at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. May 28 at the funeral home. Burial will follow immediately at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

In lieu of flowers the family welcomes memorial contributions made to Cape First Missions, 254 S. Silver Springs Road, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703.
