EGYPT MILLS -- Palmer Frederick Hahn, 83, of Egypt Mills, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 1995, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born Aug. 5, 1912, in Egypt Mills, son of Henry and Clara Schrader Hahn. He and Lillian E. Gerlach were married April 13, 1941, in Egypt Mills. She died May 22, 1995...

EGYPT MILLS -- Palmer Frederick Hahn, 83, of Egypt Mills, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 1995, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 5, 1912, in Egypt Mills, son of Henry and Clara Schrader Hahn. He and Lillian E. Gerlach were married April 13, 1941, in Egypt Mills. She died May 22, 1995.

In addition to farming, Hahn had worked at Goodard Wholesale Grocery, Soil Conservation Service in Jackson, and had been a custodian and bus driver at Nell Holcomb School.

Hahn was a member of Egypt Mills Trinity Lutheran Church and former member of the finance board, member of Farm Bureau and charter member of Egypt Mills Antique Tractor Club. He was a member of the first board and planning commission for Nell Holcomb School, and had served on the board of Egypt Mills Grade School.

Survivors include a son, Michael Hahn of Egypt Mills; three sisters, Ernestine Merritt of Savannah, Elaine Hahn of Port Charlotte, Fla., Lois Purdy of Evansville, Ind.; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Trinity Church in Egypt Mills. The Rev. Mark Martin will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
