Palmer H. Bode, 73, of Oglesby, Ill., died Saturday, Oct. 24, 1992, at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru, Ill.
He was born April 13, 1919, at Egypt Mills, son of Herman and Flora Hanebrink Bode. He and Shirley Denton were married Oct. 1, 1940, at Blytheville, Ark.
Bode was a graduate of Central High School and Southeast Missouri State University. He was employed by Marquette Cement 35 years, retiring in 1973. He moved from Cape Girardeau in 1960. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Paul Bode of Schenectady, N.Y.; a daughter, Pamela Law of Boise, Idaho; two sisters, Pat Tipton and Grace Arnold of Cape Girardeau, and a granddaughter.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday.
