EAST PRAIRIE -- Prince Albert "P.A." Brown, 78, of East Prairie, died Monday, Aug. 12, 1996, at East Prairie Nursing Center, following an extended illness.
He was born Feb. 2, 1918, in Eddyville, Ky., son of Emitt Calvin and Mary Loretta Kelley Brown. He and Hazel Wella Jones were married Nov. 26, 1938.
Brown had lived in Mississippi County most of his life. He was a self-employed carpenter.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Patsy Held of Foristell, Glenda Johnson and Betty McEntire of East Prairie; two sons, Dale Brown of Anniston, Gale Brown of East Prairie; 17 grandchildren, including Terrie Sisk of East Prairie whom he raised, and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, five brothers and a grandson.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Amos Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
