SIKESTON -- Owen W. Green, 75, of Sikeston, died Thursday, June 8, 1995, at Sikeston Convalescent Center. He was born Jan. 5, 1920, in Savannah, Tenn., son of Richard and Mary Hulen Green. He and Frances House were married Nov. 23, 1946, in Miner. Green was a retired farmer, and had been custodian at First Assembly of God Church 18 years. He was a member of the church. SIKESTON -- Owen W. Green, 75, of Sikeston, died Thursday, June 8, 1995, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.

He was born Jan. 5, 1920, in Savannah, Tenn., son of Richard and Mary Hulen Green. He and Frances House were married Nov. 23, 1946, in Miner.

Green was a retired farmer, and had been custodian at First Assembly of God Church 18 years. He was a member of the church. Green served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Michael Green of Charleston, Rickey Green of Sikeston, Randy Green of Winston-Salem, N.C.; three daughters, Judy Green and Patsy Allison of Sikeston, Tammy Schleinger of Scott City; a sister, Sarah Miller of Crossville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and two grandsons.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel after 5 p.m. today, and at First Assembly Church after 11 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral service will be at the church at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Revs. Jerry Harris and Jim Calvin officiating. Burial will be in Armer Cemetery at Bertrand.
