SIKESTON, Mo. -- Othel V. Porter, 83, of Sikeston died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 5, 1919, in Double Springs, Ala., daughter of Chester and Lecie Baldy Seymour. She and Raymond Porter were married Aug. 21, 1939. He died Jan. 29, 1990.
Porter was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Matthews, Mo.

Survivors include a son, Johnny Porter of Piggott, Ark.; three daughters, Sue Nation of Matthews, Linda Yarbrough of Franklin, Tenn., Sandy McCoy of Hendersonville, Tenn.; a brother, Billy Seymour of Texas; two sisters, Kay Johnson of Morley, Mo., Robbie Nichols of Illinois; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Rodney Dunlap and Kevin Murry officiating. Burial will be in Matthews Cemetery at Matthews.
