SHAWNEETOWN -- Oswald A. Pfeiffer, 95, of Shawneetown, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 1991, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 21, 1896, at Shawneetown, son of Herman and Louise Klaus Pfeiffer. He and Ella Oswald were married Sept. 8, 1918, at Frohna.
Pfeiffer lived and farmed here all his life. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Shawneetown, member of its Men's Club, and was a trustee and elder many years.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Harold Pfeiffer of Gordonville, Leonard Pfeiffer of Jackson; two daughters, Vern Schade of St. Ann, Helen Hecht of Shawneetown; 13 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Church here. The Rev. Howard Mueller will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday.
