SIKESTON -- Ossie Mae Emerson, 81, of Oran died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, at her home.
She was born Oct. 8, 1917, in Walnut Ridge, Ark., to George and Maudie Mae Crenshaw Pratt.
On Feb. 24, 1934, she married John Mac Emerson in Portageville. He died Jan. 12, 1983.
She was a member of Morley Baptist Church and a housewife.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry and Edward Emerson, both of Sikeston, and Mason Emerson of Oran; four daughters, Shirley Stidham, Roxie Stone and Lane Emerson, all of Sikeston, and Melba Hicks of Morley; two brothers, Andrew and Eugene Pratt, both of Poplar Bluff; three sisters, Emma Vaughn and Shirley Noel of Poplar Bluff and Juanita Roseberry of St. Louis; 28 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents two sons, one daughter, infant twins and one brother.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Morley Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Matthews of Jackson officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Delbert Bishop of Oran.
Burial will be in Old Morley Cemetery.
