SCOTT CITY -- Funeral service for Oscar John Braden of Scott City will be held at 2 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel here, with the Rev. William Dickey officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to service time.
Braden, 69, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 21, 1924, in Cairo, Ill., son of Nelson and Gladys Holiday Braden. He and Alberta Mae Clark were married Aug. 10, 1946, in Scott City.
Braden was a maintenance worker at Lone Star Industries, and member of VFW Post 6407 in Scott City. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, J.D. Braden of St. Louis, Richard Braden of Pratt, Kan.; a daughter Lisa Wolters of Jackson; a brother, Nelson Braden of Scott City, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
