PUXICO -- Orville Gene Andersen, 70, of Puxico, Rt. 1, died Saturday, Sept. 21 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 3, 1921 in North Platte, Neb., to Malcom and Myrtle Andersen.
On July 4, 1943, he married Iva Medlin at North Platte. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Jerry Andersen of Las Vegas, Nev., and Tom Andersen of Salem, Ore.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Andersen was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, with the Rev. Orville Croy officiating. Burial will be in Pleasent Grove Cemetery near Bell City.
Friends may call today from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
