SCOTT CITY Orville F. Burns, 82, of Scott City died Sept. 11, 1993 at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 23, 1911, in Benton to Ambrose F. and Anna Groves Burns, both of whom preceded him in death.

On Dec. 24, 1932, he married Marie Curry in Jackson. She survives.

He was a car-man welder for the Cotton Belt Railroad until his retirement. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Scott City.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Ann Culbertson of Jackson, Sue Tyler and Connie Killian, both of Scott City, and Pat Hampton of Chaffee; one sister, Mildred Lee of Chaffee; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, two brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Assembly of God Church of Scott City with the Rev. Larie Burdine officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.

Visitation will be held after 2 p.m. today, and from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
