MARBLE HILL -- Funeral service for Orville B. Liley of Marble Hill will be held at 2 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Randy Masters will officiate, with burial in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. today.
Liley, 80, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 18, 1912, near Lutesville, son of Charley and Verda Smith Liley. He and Elta Eaker were married Sept. 16, 1933.
Liley was retired owner of Liley Radio and Television here, and served as mayor of Lutesville 10 years. He was currently president of Bollinger County Gideon Camp. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church and IOOF here. He was a radar technician with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Duane Liley of Alton, Ill., Deon Liley of Bethalto, Ill.; a brother, Leeman Liley of Flint, Mich.; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
