SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Orvel Emil Keesee, 89, of Scott City died Monday, June 19, 2000, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 9, 1911, at Benton, son of Charles and Lydia Hillemann Keesee. He and Mae Sanders were married Jan. 27, 1934, in St. Louis.

Keesee had been a tankerman. He attended Eisleben Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Betty Shoaf of Jackson, Sylvia Westover of Shreveport, La.; a sister, Sylvia Lehde of Wenatchee, Wash.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eisleben Lutheran Cemetery, with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
