DEXTER -- Orlin C. "Bugs" Stuart, 79, of Dexter died Tuesday, June 2, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 4, 1918, in St. Louis, son of Orlin C. and May Susana Blickhan Stuart Sr. He and Grace Taylor were married Dec. 6, 1940, at Dexter. She died Sept. 23, 1993.
Stuart was co-owner of the former Hill and Stuart Sand and Gravel Co., and also the Keener Gravel Co.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, had served as deacon and on various committees. He was a member and past worshipful master of Dexter Masonic Lodge 532.
Survivors include two daughters, Trish Ordelheide of Chesterfield, Jane Alexander of Columbia; and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Wayne Dismuke officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
