Orley Elwood Jackson, 82, of Scott City died Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 29, 1937, in Fornfelt to William M. and Dora Mae Henderson Jackson. He married Betty Jo Anders on Sept. 16, 1956, in Rochelle, Illinois.

He was an owner/operator of Twin City Auto Sales and Twin City Towing. He was a horse jockey in his younger years.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, Ricky Jackson of Patton, Missouri, and Carmon (Ashley) Jackson of Scott City; two daughters, Cathy (Mike) Reagan of Patton and Carla (Rodney) Carlyle of Scott City; a sister, Ruby Tackett of Zalma, Missouri; a brother-in-law, W.B. "Dub" Lambert of Rochelle; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; special friend, Robert Hodo; and two faithful employees, Darrell Coomer and Philip Radica.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and six sisters.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating.
