ANNA, Ill. -- Orin Capps, 78, of Anna died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was born July 1, 1921, in Evarts, Ky., son of Dan and Nora Hall Capps. He and Carimena Porterfield were married July 1, 1974.
Capps retired as a truck driver with Arkansas Best Freight. He was a life member of Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tommy and Sonny Capps of Indianapolis, Ind.; four daughters, Violet Patterson, Joan Capps, Rosemary Belman and Charlene Oman, all of Indianapolis; three stepdaughters, Elaine Dickerson and Tina Mowatt of Henderville, Tenn., Linda Rushing of Branson, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Paul Sadler and Lucien Bozarth officiating. Burial will be in Christian Chapel Cemetery, with military rites by VFW Post 3455.
