CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Orilla "Rilla" Pobst, 84, of Chaffee passed away at the family home Sunday morning, May 27, 2012.
Rilla was born in New Hamburg, Mo., on Jan. 8, 1928, to the late Otto and Mamie Westrich Scheeter. She married A.J. Pobst on Sept. 9, 1950, and he survives.
She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, Mo., and was a member of the St. Ann Sodality.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Rick (Vera) Pobst and Scott Pobst, both of Oran; one daughter, Linda (Mark) Rhodes of Murphysboro, Ill.; three brothers, Ervin Scheeter of Benton, Mo., Herb Scheeter of Cape Girardeau and Alvin Scheeter of Danville, Ill.; three sisters, Arabella Stike of Cape Girardeau, Lois Eastwood of Chaffee and Ada Lee Hasenkamp of Benton; four grandchildren, Jarod Pobst of Decatur, Ill., Markie Lin Rhodes of Murphysboro, Mallory and Mason Pobst, both of Chaffee.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Parish rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at the chapel.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
