SIKESTON, Mo. -- Orena N. Duke Dover, 79, of Sikeston died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at her home. She was born Oct. 18, 1921, in Bement, Mo., daughter of the late George and Minnie Sparks Duke. She was a housewife and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Sikeston. On Nov. 29, 1941, in New Madrid, Mo., she married J.C. Dover, who died April 23, 1997...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Orena N. Duke Dover, 79, of Sikeston died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at her home.

She was born Oct. 18, 1921, in Bement, Mo., daughter of the late George and Minnie Sparks Duke. She was a housewife and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Sikeston. On Nov. 29, 1941, in New Madrid, Mo., she married J.C. Dover, who died April 23, 1997.

She is survived by a son, Johnny Clay Dover of Bell City, Mo.; a daughter, Kay Rampley of Sikeston; a half sister, Flossie Stephens of California; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and a sister.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lynda Zych officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
