PUXICO -- Oral W. Jenkins, 85, of Puxico died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1998, at his home. He was born June 12, 1913, in Bloomfield, son of Samuel E. and Bertie L. Harper Jenkins. He married Helen Ellis Sept. 14, 1935, in Dexter. She survives. He had been a resident of Stoddard County most of his life and had lived in Puxico since 1941. PUXICO -- Oral W. Jenkins, 85, of Puxico died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1998, at his home.

He was born June 12, 1913, in Bloomfield, son of Samuel E. and Bertie L. Harper Jenkins.

He married Helen Ellis Sept. 14, 1935, in Dexter. She survives.

He had been a resident of Stoddard County most of his life and had lived in Puxico since 1941. He was a farmer and was a member of Brown General Baptist Church near Puxico.

Other survivors include two sons, Bob Jenkins of Advance and David Jenkins of Perryville; two daughters, Marilyn Luetkenhaus of Wentzville and Donna Fortner of Mountain View; a sister, Opal Miller of Puxico; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and two sisters.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Brown General Baptist Church, with Brother Melvin Keena and the Revs. Ray Placher and Johnny Buttry officiating.

Internment will be in North Antioch Cemetery near Bloomfield.
