BELL CITY, Mo. -- Ora "Keener" Overby, 88, of Bell City died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001, at Beverly Health Rehabilitation Center in Bloomfield, Mo. He was born April 13, 1913, at Bell City, son of Ora and Topsy Highsaw Overby. He and Helen Williamson were married Aug. 24, 1934, at Bloomfield. She died Dec. 21, 1989...

BELL CITY, Mo. -- Ora "Keener" Overby, 88, of Bell City died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001, at Beverly Health Rehabilitation Center in Bloomfield, Mo.

He was born April 13, 1913, at Bell City, son of Ora and Topsy Highsaw Overby. He and Helen Williamson were married Aug. 24, 1934, at Bloomfield. She died Dec. 21, 1989.

Overby was a retired farmer.

Survivors include two sons, Roger Overby of Bloomfield, Rick Overby of Advance, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. John Tolbert will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bell City.
