Ora Lee Hopkins, 90, of Jackson passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 23, 1930, to Noah D. and Sarah Dockins Hopkins at Jackson. Ora and Helen Dumey were united in marriage Dec. 23, 1971.
Ora Lee loved farming on his farm throughout his life and belong to the Trail Riders. He loved horses, dogs and all animals. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a motor mechanic specialist.
Ora Lee is survived by his wife, Helen Hopkins at the home; sisters, Dianna Caramico and Delores Poulos, both of Palatine, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Janet Hopkins, Anna May Crain and Doris Tucker; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, N.D., Harold Gene and Terry Lane Hopkins.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. today at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Janet Hopkins officiating. Interment will take place in the Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
